Bob Darling and the team successfully completed a management buyout in 2018 of CISG, known in the industry as Coversure. Jensten Group Ltd is the natural evolution of CISG and is a UK-focused, SME & specialist personal lines insurance distribution platform.
As a family of companies, the Group's origins date back to 1986 and the founding of Coversure Insurance Services Limited. Established to provide communities with good value, local insurance broking service. Using a franchise model to provide brokers with an opportunity to own and run their own business it gave scale and accelerated growth of the retail broking business. And what growth there has been…
Within a short period Coversure's successful franchised offices, which run the length and breadth of the UK are helping thousands of business and private customers protect what matters to them. Today, the franchise family encompasses over 90 thriving independent businesses.
2006 this saw an addition to the family with the launch of Policyfast, an innovative wholesale platform offering a wide range of insurance products to UK brokers through a strong online portal.
Brokers found the combination of online speed, competitiveness and customer service a compelling proposition. Today, over 2,500 UK brokers hold a Policyfast agency and enjoy the support of the dedicated teams.
Having established highly successful businesses within the retail and wholesale markets, the Group decided to complete its sphere of operations and move into underwriting and in 2010 it acquired the City underwriters, Stevenson Price Insurance Brokers. Re-branded as City Underwriters Limited (CUL), this gave the Group access to specialist underwriting facilities and the all-important Lloyd's of London market.
2010 saw the group purchase City Underwriters Ltd (formerly Stevenson Price Insurance Brokers) to extend its services to include access to London markets. To widen the footprint and add top quality underwriters to the team they successfully purchased B & L a Lloyds cover holder in 2018.
The whole of the Jensten Group is committed to its founding values of integrity, professionalism, innovation and providing positive outcomes for customers.
In 2018 with the financial backing of leading private equity firm Livingbridge, the leadership team mounted a successful management buyout. This not only gave birth to the Jensten Group, but represented the opening of an exciting new chapter in the business's story.
The team has ambitious plans to realise the Group's full potential and will be establishing growth through acquisitions, distribution development and continually improving the support and services offered to their customers, franchise holders, brokers and insurers. The overarching strategy is to continue to create sustainable, long-term businesses that deliver genuine value for all stakeholders.
