Our primary retail broking business, Jensten Insurance Brokers was launched in 2022, created by bringing together several high-quality insurance brokers under one brand. Through our expanding regional and specialist centres of excellence, the business provides a market-leading service to SME, mid-market and corporate clients and not-for-profit organisations. A growing number of sector specific propositions are provided by our specialist Financial & Professional Risks, Technology, Hospitality, Construction and Pharmacy teams.

Basil Fry & Company

Basil Fry & Company is the market leader in providing insurance solutions to the UK’s removals, storage and self-storage sectors. Well known throughout these sectors due to their expertise and established cross-class schemes, Basil Fry & Company is the broker of choice for several of the associated industry organisations. The business’ in-house claims proposition, Removal Claims Service, handles all transit, storage and marine claims for clients.

Jensten Motor Trade

Jensten Motor Trade is a leading broker in the premises-based UK Motor Trade, with over 2,500 garages relying on the business for specialist advice and access to bespoke schemes for the industry. Clients range from sole traders to national franchises. The business also has expertise in placing fleet insurance, focusing on the chauffeur and construction sectors.

Mathews Comfort & Co (Insurance Brokers)

Mathews Comfort & Co (Insurance Brokers) advise businesses and organisations in the fields of life science, biomedical, biotechnology and technology. Based in Oxford, the team of specialists work with clients to address their often-complex risks, ensuring they have insurance tailored to their specific requirements.

Travel Risk Professionals

Travel Risk Professionals is a leading name in the Tour Operators and Travel sectors, with a reputation for providing bespoke, high-quality service and specialist advice tailored to individual client needs. The business also arranges insurance for organisations working in high-risk territories globally.

Advance Insurance

Advance Insurance forms a significant part of Jensten’s niche personal lines division. The business offers a range of specialist personal insurance products to groups of clients with unique requirements, including owners of motorhomes, import and modified vehicles, caravans and classic cars.

Robert Gerrard

Robert Gerrard is a specialist broker for the Lift and Escalatory industry, providing bespoke Liability Insurance solutions. The business works with engineers, designers and servicing professionals. They also arrange SME, Personal and High Net Worth Insurance solutions for customers in the local area.

Chris Knott

Chris Knott is an insurance broker based in Hastings, East Sussex. They form the part of our overall personal lines division, offering specialist insurance for classic, imported and custom cars, in addition to general commercial insurance and niche insurance solutions for dog businesses, alotments and charities.

Forming our East region, One Broker has provided an insurance broking service to businesses and individuals for over 40 years. With offices in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, One Broker has an established regional presence, specialising in complex risks, haulage, property owners, not-for-profit organisations, and private ambulance businesses.

Thames Valley

J Bennett & Son was acquired by Jensten in 2023 and forms our regional centre of excellence in the Thames Valley. The business primarily works with commercial clients in the area and has an established heritage of providing high quality advice since its founding in 1908.

Lakes & North

Simpson and Parsons Insurance Consultants was acquired by the Group in 2023 and forms our regional centre of excellence for Lakes & North. With several offices in the Lake District, the business services SME clients across the region, and has established itself as the broker of choice for accommodation and hospitality businesses, including hotels, guest houses, B&Bs, holiday homes and restaurants.

London & South East

Berns Brett forms our London & South East region. Established for more than 50 years, Berns Brett is a well respected broker and risk manager, specialising in supporting corporate and SME clients across a range of sectors, including financial services, charities and social housing. The business has a dedicated London Market team who place large and complex risks into Lloyd’s.

Midlands

With offices across the Midlands, Jensten Insurance Brokers have a local presence close to the clients and communities they serve, offering a comprehensive local broking service to businesses and for fleet, haulage and plant risks.

North East

NC Insurance, Motor Trade Protect, and Third Sector Protect joined Jensten in 2026, forming our North East region. They have been delivering specialist insurance for niche sectors, including commercial businesses, motor traders, and charities, for over 50 years.

North West

Servicing clients across the North West, Jensten Insurance Brokers supports a wide range of SME, retail and construction businesses with their commercial insurance needs, including specialist covers for road risks motor trade, and high-risk liability.

Scotland

Our Scottish footprint continues to grow from our recent acquisitions; Broker One based in Larbert, and NC Stirling based in Glasgow. Both of which rebranded to Jensten Insurance Brokers in 2026. Led by experienced teams, the offices support SMEs, sole traders and private clients, bringing extensive knowledge and a proven track record of delivering tailored insurance solutions.

South

Yorkshire & Humberside

Packetts and Ravenhall Risk Solutions form Jensten’s regional centre of excellence in Yorkshire. Both brands have a rich heritage in the region, with Packetts celebrating its centenary in 2020. The business services commercial and personal clients across Yorkshire, in addition to providing specific propositions to several sectors including large and complex non-profit organisations and insolvency practitioners.

Ireland

Berns Brett Ireland has over 35 years of experience serving clients and providing independent advice on all aspects of corporate and personal insurance, risk management, and business continuity planning. The business also specialises in arranging construction and performance bonds for clients in the construction industry.

Darwin Clayton has a well-established heritage of delivering tailored solutions to the contracting sector and marked 100 years of trading in 2020.
