Jensten appoints Clive Buesnel as Group Chief Executive

Clive Buesnel is joining Jensten as our Chief Executive on November 2, 2026.

Clive joins the business as a leader with a rare breadth of experience across insurance, broking, advisory and private‑equity environments. Clive joins from Insurance Advisory Partners, where he is Managing Partner, International, working closely with insurance CEOs, boards and investors while helping build the firm’s international franchise. He previously served as Group CEO of Tysers, where he integrated three major businesses, modernised the technology and operations, strengthened the leadership team and led a transformation before leading it through a successful sale to AUB Group in 2022.

Earlier in his career, Clive, as one of the founders, built and scaled the Xchanging Insurance division to c.£140m revenue and £26m EBITDA and as a part of the executive team led the business to an IPO in 2007. He was the CEO of a Lloyd’s carrier – Jubilee and at Deloitte he developed the London Market practice before becoming UK Insurance Leader and a Vice Chairman of the firm. He has advised many of the largest brokers and carriers globally and has been closely involved in major industry transformation programmes.

Clive takes over from Rob Organ who since 2021, has grown Jensten from 200 to over 1,000 colleagues and has more than tripled Jensten’s value from the original Gross Written Premium.

Jensten Chair David McMillan said “I want to thank Rob for helping to build a strong business and for his partnership. We agreed the right moment to hand over would be once the divisional structure was in place and the group has now reached that milestone.

I am delighted to welcome Clive, as the new Jensten CEO. Clive is one of the most respected and successful leaders in our market and brings a unique understanding of Brokers, Insurance carriers, M&A and Technology from his time at IAP, Deloitte, Tysers and Xchanging. This combination of strategic perspective, transformation expertise and proven ability to drive performance positions him strongly to lead the next chapter of growth for Jensten.

“Rob has been an outstanding partner to us throughout our investment.  Jensten would not be where it is today without his partnership, dedication and leadership.  We thank him for that contribution and look forward to working with Clive as Jensten enters its next phase of growth,” said Matt Cannan, a Partner at Bain Capital.
