Jensten Reaches 1,000 Colleagues and Completes Three Acquisitions

Jensten is excited to announce the successful completion of three acquisition deals this month, along with surpassing the milestone of 1,000 employees.

Following regulatory approval, Jensten has successfully completed the acquisitions of Chris Knott Insurance Consultants, Robert Gerrard & Co and Asprey Harris Ltd. These strategic deals will greatly enhance Jensten’s capabilities and regional presence.

The acquisition of Chris Knott Insurance Consultants will bring a team of 19 professionals and an office in Hastings, along with an additional £6.1 million in GWP. Chris Knott is renowned for its niche motor schemes, particularly for classic cars and owners club vehicles, as well as its tailored solutions for small charities and other unique sectors.

Similarly, the acquisition of Robert Gerrard & Co will add 19 professionals and a new office located in Chingford. Robert Gerrard & Co is the leading insurance broker in the UK specialising in the lift and escalator industry. They have built a long-standing reputation for meeting the highly specialised needs of this sector through their Lift Plan product. Offering an extensive range of tailored policies, they provide comprehensive coverage unmatched in the lift and escalator industry.

Both acquisitions complement Jensten’s strategy of being a sector focused specialist schemes broker with strong trade association affinity relationships.

Additionally, Asprey Harris Ltd, a trusted provider of high-quality services to commercial and retail clients in the Chesham area, enhances Jensten’s strategic regional expansion. The acquisition brings a team of three to Jensten, further strengthening its presence in the Home Counties, and follows the recent acquisition of Melville Burbage

In tandem with these acquisitions, Jensten is proud to announce that it has surpassed 1,000 employees. This achievement underscores the company’s rapid growth, having more than doubled its employee numbers over the past two years. The expansion reflects Jensten’s commitment to excellence, driven by not solely strategic acquisition, but also the direct recruitment of top-tier talent.

Alistair Hardie, CEO of Jensten, commented: “We are thrilled to reach this milestone. Our growth is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team. By integrating new businesses and attracting talented specialists, we have strengthened our capabilities and enhanced our ability to deliver expert support to our clients. Our growth strategy continues to solidify Jensten’s position as a leading connected broker.”

Lauren Barwell, Chief People Officer at Jensten, added: “Our success is built on collaboration, innovation, and a client-centric approach. We are committed to fostering a supportive environment that promotes growth for our people and exceptional service for our clients. As we continue to grow, we remain focused on maintaining the highest standards of service and expertise.”
